Work we do

DAPL offers one-to-one counselling, support and advice to young people, adults and families in the Fife region. Our services are free to access confidential and offered by experienced people. We support and help individuals affected by substance use issues and emotional distress. We are proud to have our counselling services accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Support for young people

Young people are under ever increasing pressure in our competitive world and many are growing up without the support they need or people they can reply on. Life for our young people is challenging in an ever changing world. That's where DAPL can help in the delivery of counselling services within Fife schools.

Support for adults

If struggles continue for a long period of time people can rely on drugs or alcohol to assist them to  get through the day. DAPL can help you make sense of the struggles and support you through these challenges to a life without substances. We deliver services Fife wide within a location as close to you as possible.

Addiction recovery

Addiction recovery is a journey of healing and self-discovery. DAPL can help people break free from harmful patterns, rebuilding trust in oneself, and find healthy coping mechanisms.By engaging in our recovery process individuals can move forward in their lives in the knowledge that recovery can happen and does happen.

DAPL has been such a brilliant support to me. I have improved more than I could ever have imagined when I was in some really dark places mentally. I am pleased to say that I no longer take any drugs and this has been the case for a while now.

Since I started using DAPL they couldn’t have been more helpful. I have never been turned away from DAPL and have always been helped by the staff there. The work they do for me and the community is above and beyond. Please continue the exceptional work you do. You make a huge difference. If you weren’t here it would leave a very big problem for so many people in so many ways. Thank you.

I didn’t think I would ever get over my problem with drugs. I kept trying loads of different things but nothing helped that much. I then got an appointment with DAPL and my counsellor was top class. My life has changed loads and I am holding down a job which is good as I hadn’t worked for a long while.
